"I'm interested in the best way, the best process."
I spent three years working in the accounting department of the largest health system in Indiana. While I was there, I decreased the time it took to do treasury settlements from 4 days to 1 1/2 hours.
I worked for a full-service accounting firm in Indianapolis, specializing in consulting on health care projects. During my time there, I revamp a complex real-estate buy-in/buy-out model and decreased the time spent on future projects by 62%.
This is the way I look at things. I approach a process, break it down, identify efficiencies, and implement them for amazing results.
"I want my clients to understand their finances and make better decisions."
I think good decisions are often based on good information. The reality is that businesses need to make decisions all the time and there needs to be a process in place for obtaining the relevant financial information and understanding what it means for a business. Sometimes this might mean spotting issues before they happen, realizing things aren't performing as well as was hoped, or implementing changes that will make cash flow better or increase profit margins.
But, ultimately, it really helps if there's solid financial oversight and someone dedicated to looking at the whole picture and interpreting the picture on a regular basis. This is what I do.

"There's a way to better finances."
I believe when people have a sense that things can be done better or more efficiently – they're usually right. The best path forward is to find the person who knows how to get them to the next level.
And that's where I come in.
